One person has been taken to hospital following a medical incident in Ferryhill.
Emergency services were called to the town just before 11am on Sunday (August 16) after a medical incident at a private address.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service sent a helicopter to the scene, which is believed to have landed near Auckland Road.
The North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) has confirmed that it also attended the scene before taking one person to hospital. Their condition remains unknown.
A NEAS spokesperson said: "We sent an emergency ambulance, a clinical team leader and the air ambulance to attend a medical incident at a private address in Ferryhill this morning following a call we received to 999 at 10.50am.
“We transported one patient to hospital for further treatment."
