Urban explorers have gone inside an abandoned Darlington nightclub that remains frozen in time.
Inside Out, on Beaumont Street, has stood empty since its closure in January 2020 when bosses decided to bring decades of history to an end after a “careful review”.
The venue, which was also known as Perry’s and Club 2K, still has glimmers of its former life as Inside Out, including its striking green sign on the side of the building.
And this week, a video showing urban explorers entering the building has been posted on TikTok, revealing how the inside of the club looks today.
The footage shows how the bar that would have drawn queues of clubbers in its heyday still remains, while stools, chairs, and sofas can be seen scattered across the site.

The video also goes into an office, which shows mounding paperwork and letters on the floor and a pile of passports still on the table.
Inside Out ran from 2007 for around 12 years and became known for its KONG Fridays and Slow Kids event nights.
When it closed for the final time in January 2020, owners The Ladhar Leisure Group said it would only be short term “to ensure its long term viability”.

It has now been more than six and a half years since the closure, and questions still remain over what may become of the building.
Last year, The Northern Echo reported how no planning application had been lodged with the council proposing any future use following its closure.

The Echo understands that the building is still owned by the Ladhar Group, which operates across the care, property and leisure sectors and has looked after the club since the mid 2000s.
Chris McEwan, cabinet member for economy at Darlington Council, previously said it was a shame to see any building in the town centre empty but was “optimistic” for its future.
