Families can step into the boots of the Women's Land Army as a North Yorksire modern military museum, shines a spotlight on the vital role women played during the Second World War.
Eden Camp, on the outskirts of Malton, is running its Women at War programme throughout the summer holidays until September 4, inviting visitors to explore the lives and contributions of women who supported the war effort.
The programme features immersive experiences including meeting Women’s Land Army re-enactors, hands-on activities, and the chance to try milking a model cow.

A spokesman for Eden Camp said: "The immersive permanent exhibits bring to life the courage, determination, and resilience of the home front and the vital part women played.
"Visitors will discover how women helped keep the nation running during its darkest hours through interactive activities, workshops, and live experiences."
Women’s roles are explored across farming, industry, healthcare, and military support, showing how they helped sustain the country during wartime.

The museum is also introducing new workshops and family-friendly activities for the summer, including a Poo Clues Trail, a Little Evacuees Workshop where children can make their own gas mask, and 1940s Summer Street Games.
Eden Camp is participating in the Great British Summer Savings VAT reduction scheme, offering reduced ticket prices to help families enjoy a day out.
Advance tickets start at £14.75 for adults and concessions, £13 for children, and family tickets from £26.25.

The spokesman said: "History enthusiasts and curious minds can take part in a range of themed activities designed to educate, entertain, and inspire.
"After exploring the immersive WWII exhibits and taking part in all the summer fun, children can enjoy a tasty Children’s Meal for just £6 during the summer holidays."
