A café in the heart of one of the Yorkshire Dales' best-known locations has earned hundreds of glowing reviews, with visitors praising everything from its coffee and homemade cakes to its friendly welcome.
The Retreat Tearoom & Bistro, on Main Street in Grassington, currently holds a 4.8-star rating on Tripadvisor from more than 700 reviews.
The café, which sits in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, is highly rated for its food and service, both of which score 4.9 out of five on the review site.
Visitors regularly highlight the friendly staff, varied menu, and homemade food, with some describing The Retreat as their favourite place to stop whenever they visit Grassington.

One reviewer, who visits the village regularly, said: "This is our favourite place for a coffee, cake or lunch.
"It's friendly with excellent coffee, snacks and food and we would thoroughly recommend it."
They added that the scones were "especially delicious."
Another recent visitor said they believed they had found their "go-to cafe for when we're in Grassington" after making two visits in the space of a few weeks.
They praised an "amazing iced latte," a chocolate milkshake, and what their wife described as "one of the best hot chocolates she's had."
The coffee and walnut cake also earned praise for its strong coffee flavour.
The café is run by Adele and Rick, who took over The Retreat in May 2015.
It serves breakfasts, lunches, light bites, cream teas, homemade cakes, and pre-booked afternoon teas, while catering for a range of dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options.
Its coffee is supplied by Yorkshire-based Dark Woods Coffee, whose coffees have received recognition at the Great Taste Awards.
The Retreat says its baristas undergo ongoing training to maintain the quality of the drinks it serves.
Recent Tripadvisor reviews suggest that attention to coffee has not gone unnoticed.
One customer praised staff for knowing exactly how to make a long black, while another called their Americano worthy of a second cup.
Hot chocolate is another recurring favourite.
Following a recent family visit, one customer wrote: "The best hot chocolate I've had in a while."
Food also features heavily among the café's hundreds of reviews.
A visitor from Western Australia said the smoked salmon and salad was "without a doubt one of the best meals I've ever had," while also praising the sticky toffee pudding and friendly staff.
Another customer singled out the thyme mushrooms for breakfast, describing them as "absolutely fabulous" and the "best."

The menu also includes dishes such as spinach and chilli scrambled eggs, bacon ciabattas, sausage and egg muffins, and coconut porridge.
The Retreat also has a reputation for welcoming people exploring the Yorkshire Dales by bike.
Three motorcyclists travelling from Sheffield said they stopped in Grassington while following a Bike 'n' Brew route after travelling through the Dales.
They praised the "great atmosphere, great food, great venue" and particularly the staff.
Another group of bikers described it as a "lovely Bike and Brew destination," praising both the food and friendly service.
Dogs and muddy boots are welcome inside, making the café a convenient stop for walkers and other visitors exploring Grassington and the surrounding countryside.
