SMOKE inside a building in York city centre was caused by an electrical fault yesterday evening, Saturday, August 15.
Two fire crews from York and Acomb Fire Station went to the scene on Stonebow after being alerted just after 6pm.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "After a check with a thermal camera, smoke was attributed to an electrical fault.
"The premises were advised to not re-open until an electrician has been to check the property."
