A 12-hour charity darts marathon will take place in York later this month.

The team at The Punch Bowl, in Lowther Street, will take on the challenge on Saturday, August 22, aiming to score 170,000 points on an upside-down dartboard.

The event, starting at 10am and finishing at 10pm, is part of Craft Fest @ Punchbowl celebrations and aims to raise money for York Against Cancer.

The marathon is part of four days of festivities marking the York Ebor Festival, with daily activities to support the charity.

The festival starts with Bingo Night on Wednesday, followed by Game Night on Thursday, and Karaoke Night on Friday.

Saturday will feature the darts marathon and live music from Zena.

People are invited to join in the fun, support the darts team, and donate to York Against Cancer.

A pub spokesperson said: "Every dart, every cheer, and every donation can make a difference."
