Some of the great pop anthems of our time echoed around Scarborough last night as three class acts took to the stage.
Holly Johnson, ABC and Heaven 17 were the top pop trio delighting the crowds at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre.
British pop great Holly Johnson brought the style, swagger and songs that defined an era to a red-hot night in the town.
The Frankie Goes To Hollywood frontman delivered a stunning show that mixed hits from his time with his ground-breaking band and solo career.
Opening with Franke Goes To Hollywood greats Warriors of the Wasteland and * Welcome to The Pleasdome, Holly continued with * Americanos, Atomic City, Love Train and * Born To Run*.
Then he built to a power-filled finale with of Two Tribes, the iconic chart-topper* Relax* and the spell-binding * The Power of Love*.
The night was brilliantly opened by two legendary Yorkshire bands – Sheffield’s very own Heaven 17 and ** ABC** who played such hits as * Temptation, When Smokey Sings* and * The* * Look of Love.*
