High-powered sports cars and luxury models turned heads as car enthusiasts descended for the return of a popular Supercar Day.

Petrolheads rolled up for the event at The Motorist in Sherburn in Elmet today, Saturday, August 15.

Free to attend, the event had widespread appeal, attracting people across the generations.

Crowds of onlookers ambled around the New Lennerton Lane automotive venue and event hub to take stock of the high-performance vehicles on display, enjoying the opportunity to meet and chat to the owners some of whom invited youngsters (and young at heart) to take a seat in the driving seat.

The Motorist Supercar Day attracted enthusiasts of all ages.

Luxury models ranged from Ferraris and Lamborghinis to McLarens, Porsches, Aston Martins, Corvettes and Chevrolets, and Audi R8s.

Luxury driving travel specialist Arvelo attended the popular meet where visitors could also enjoy speciality coffee, breakfast, and lunch throughout the day in The Motorist’s Drivers Lounge.

The Supercar Day was one of a series of car and bike meets at The Motorist where owners and enthusiasts gather. Previous events have included a ‘Cops & Cars’ theme, featuring vehicles seen on Channel 5 police shows including Police Interceptors, Traffic Cops, and Motorway Cops.
