Train lines have reopened following earlier delays caused by an object caught in overhead electric wires.
The southbound lines were blocked between Doncaster and Retford, leading to the cancellation of several services today, Saturday, including the 9.40am from Leeds to London Kings Cross, the 11.10am from London Kings Cross to Leeds, and the 11.37am from Bradford Forster Square to London Kings Cross.
Other services that have been cancelled include the 3.40pm from London Kings Cross to Bradford Forster Square and the 1.10pm from London Kings Cross to Leeds.
The incident which caused disruption to passengers was resolved quickly by Network Rail engineers, allowing lines to reopen.

However, passengers were advised to allow extra time for their journeys as delays to remaining services were likely and disruption was expected.

LNER, the train operating company, apologised for the inconvenience caused and provided guidance for affected passengers.
People whose trains were cancelled were allowed to use their existing tickets on alternative LNER services.
The company also offered compensation under their Delay Repay scheme for those delayed by more than 30 minutes.
LNER asked passengers who booked directly with them and opted into One Click Delay Repay to expect an email confirmation within 48 hours.
Passengers who booked elsewhere or did not opt into the scheme were advised to fill in a claim form.
Those who chose not to travel due to the cancellations were told to contact the company they purchased their ticket from for a refund.
LNER also reminded passengers to check their journey before travelling and apologised for the inconvenience caused.
Passengers were also directed to the Network Rail website for more information on overhead line equipment failures.
