Police name passenger who died in hospital a month after Yorkshire crash

A passenger who was seriously injured in a Yorkshire crash has died in hospital more than a month after the incident, police have said.

West Yorkshire Police has issued a further appeal for information after footage of the crash, whcih happened on Wakefield Road in Bradford on July 9.

The force said Mohammed Nadeem was a passenger in a silver Toyota Auris which was involved in the crash with a grey BMW 320D on the road, between the junctions of Fenby Avenue and Sheridan Street.

Mr Nadeem suffered serious injuries and died in hospital on Tuesday (Aug 11).

Two men aged 20 and two teenagers aged 18 and 19 - who were all occupants of the BMW - were arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and released on bail.

A statement from West Yorkshire Police said: “The Major Collision Enquiry Team is keen to hear from anyone who saw the collision, or what happened immediately prior to it. The team would also welcome any footage which may assist in this investigation.”
