'Wonderful to see Sam Smith's Wellington Inn open'

IT’S wonderful to see the Wellington Inn thriving again.

The Welly has always held a special place in my heart after 15 years of cricket there. Playing at the Retreat was idyllic – welcoming teams from all over and sharing great moments with great characters.

Every home match, and plenty of away ones, ended back at the Welly, where the camaraderie carried on long into the evening.

They were truly halcyon days.

Wishing the new tenants every success.

Here’s hoping the old habit of pushing out hard-working managers is gone for good, and that everyone running the pub is treated fairly.

Has PM Burnham improved our lives yet?

What actually has PM Burnham achieved since being in No. 10 apart from uttering a deluge of popular soundbites and enjoying a fortnight's holiday?

Has life for the ordinary citizen seen any positive improvement?

I would suggest the answer is no, for he has made only minimal reference to what concerns millions of people which is our huge debt, immigration, energy costs, tax increases etc, etc.
