The windscreen of a double-decker bus travelling through County Durham has been shattered after a group of youths threw an 'unknown object' at the vehicle.
The incident happened at around 6.45pm on Saturday, August 8, on the B6532 near the junction with Potterhouse Lane, between Sacriston and Framwellgate Moor.

Durham Police say that the upper windscreen was shattered during the incident, which caused distress to passengers and the driver of the bus.
The police force is now investigating the incident on the Go North East bus.

A spokesperson for Durham Police said: "Officers are investigating an incident of criminal damage to a Go North East bus that occurred on Saturday, August 8, at approximately 6.45pm on the B6532 near the junction with Potterhouse Lane, between Sacriston and Framwellgate Moor.
"A group of youths threw an unknown object at a moving double-decker bus, causing the upper windscreen to shatter, much to the alarm of the passengers and driver.
