A County Durham man has appeared in court for making an indecent image of a child and possessing an extreme pornographic image involving an animal.
Paul Winstanley, 49, of Ullswater Crescent, Crook, admitted the offences when he appeared before Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court on July 10.
The court heard he made a Category C indecent image of a child in December 2020.

He also possessed an extreme pornographic image portraying a person performing an act with a live animal, namely a dog.
He was fined £200 for the latter offence, ordered to pay £85 costs and an £80 surcharge, and will be subject to sex offender notification requirements for five years.
Images were ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
