A York city centre shop is set to close ahead of a big move.
Fabrication, a social enterprise which aims to support artists across Yorkshire, has revealed that they will be closing their Stonegate shop and moving within York city centre.

The announcement came as new signs appeared in the windows and inside the shop to let people know that they will be closing their doors – with the posters reading ‘Exciting news! We are moving!’
A date and location for the move is yet to be officially confirmed, but leaflets that are being handed out within the store show the route between the Fabrication shop in Stonegate and the smaller Little Fabrication in Feasegate - which also houses a smaller shop and the artist studios.

The shop has been open since January last year, with plans in place to remodel the upper floors of the listed building and the outdoor space into a community garden.
The reasons for the move are not yet known.
