Police investigating after cars deliberately driven into two homes
Police are investigating after cars were thought to have been deliberatly driven into two homes last night.
Cleveland Police said it was called to Pilkington Street in the North Ormesby area of Middlesbrough just after 11.30pm following reports a property had been deliberately struck by a vehicle.
The vehicle was abandoned at the scene and its occupants fled the scene.
No one was injured, but the property is being assessed by structural engineers to ensure its safety.
While the officers were dealing with the incident, a second home was struck by a vehicle on nearby Macbean Street.
The property was empty at the time of the incident - just after 11.45pm - and is also set to be assessed for its structural integrity.
