Three-tonne cat food donation to feed rescue cats around Harrogate for a year

A huge donation of cat food is set to ease a charity’s rising costs over the year ahead.

Hurayra Pet Food, a Yorkshire-founded brand, has donated three tonnes of premium cat food to Harrogate Cat Rescue — enough to feed 80 cats for a year.

The contribution will help the charity support cats in its care by freeing up funds for veterinary treatment, shelter, and rehabilitation.

Ahitsham Rashid, managing director of Hurayra, said: "Hurayra was founded in Yorkshire, and we are proud that our growth allows us to support organisations making a real difference here in our home county and beyond.

"Harrogate Cat Rescue carries out incredibly important work for cats and families across the local community.

"We hope this donation will ease some of the pressure on the rescue and help its dedicated team continue providing the care these cats deserve."

Hurayra Pet Food, launched last year, is expanding internationally and supporting animal welfare organisations across the UK.
