A pub in York is teaming up with a football club for an afternoon of family fun to mark the new season.
Pear Tree Farm in Huntington is hosting the event on August 15 to celebrate York City FC’s first home league game of the season against Bristol Rovers FC.
Activities will include live music, face painting, a penalty shoot-out, and the chance to win a signed shirt and football on the Tombola.
The pub is the club’s Man of the Match sponsor for the season.
Sam Beavers, general manager at Pear Tree Farm, said: “We’re proud to be able to support York City FC this season and welcome one of their players to the pub.
"We have a fantastic line-up of activities planned throughout the day and hope to see many new and familiar faces there.
“We also hope to raise some much-needed funds for Macmillan, whilst wishing York City the best of luck for the season.”
