A driver had a lucky escape today.
This is all that’s left of her car after it was consumed by flames.
The incident happened on the High Street inCarlton near Selby this morning (Thursday).

The woman saw the car was smoking and pulled in. A witness said: “It went up pretty soon after she got out”.
Firefighters were quickly on the scene and put the blaze out.
Traffic was being held on Carlton High Street but has now been released.
No one was hurt in the incident.
