A fire investigation has begun following a blaze at a North East dealership that could be seen for miles.
The Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue said they were called to the Sherwood Van Centre on the Crowther Industrial Estate in Washington at 5.53 pm on Tuesday (August 11).
Today (August 13), the service has confirmed that the fire is out and an investigation has been launched, together with Northumbria Police.

A spokesperson said: “We can confirm that all firefighting operations at the incident have now concluded and we no longer have any fire appliances or firefighters in attendance on site.
“Thankfully there were no injuries reported as a result of the fire on Tuesday, August 11.
"A fire investigation has commenced and we are working with colleagues from Northumbria Police to help determine the most likely cause of the fire.”
Pictures show thick clouds of black smoke coming from the building while a cordon was put in place on Tuesday.

The fire comes a few weeks after another fire at the same industrial estate earlier this month.
Emergency services were called on July 31, when another building was alight and large plumes of smoke could be seen from miles away.
Five fire engines and an aerial ladder platform were sent to the scene as crews worked to bring the blaze under control.
