A boy is being treated in hospital with "serious injuries" after he was hit by a car.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to the Kirkleatham Lane area of Redcar at 7.23pm on Wednesday (August 12).
Cleveland Police said the child suffered injuries and is being treated in hospital.
A force spokesperson said: "Officers are appealing for information and footage to a collision that took place at approximately 7.25pm on Wednesday, August 12, on Kirkleatham Lane.
"It involved a car and a child. The boy was taken to James Cook University Hospital by ambulance with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) confirmed they attended the incident.
A spokesperson said: "We were called at 7.23pm this evening (August 12) to reports of a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a child in the Kirkleatham Lane area of Redcar.
"An emergency ambulance passing stopped at the scene and we also dispatched a clinical team leader and requested support from the air ambulance.
"The patient was taken to James Cook Hospital by road for further treatment."
