Two men arrested after a haul of explosives 'used to make homemade fireworks' was found at a County Durham home have been released on bail.
An investigation remains ongoing after sixty homes were evacuated and a 100-metre cordon was erected around Robert Terrace in Shield Row in Stanley on Tuesday (August 11) afternoon.
Two men, aged 71 and 46, were arrested on suspicion of manufacturing ammunition without a licence.
They have been released on bail as enquiries continue, Durham Police said today (Thursday, August 13).

The force previously said a quantity of potentially explosive substances - believed to have been used to make homemade fireworks - were recovered from a property and destroyed.
They also thanked residents for their patience after being evacuated for six hours.

Emergency crews and army ordnance experts were called around 1pm.
A bomb disposal expert dressed in black protective clothing was seen working within the cordon and using a robot.
People were asked to stay away from the area, with residents directed to the nearby Louisa Centre until the cordon was lifted around 7pm, when police confirmed the "suspicious item" had been dealt with.
