A trial has been set for a County Durham man charged with sexually assaulting a teenager.
Geoffrey Pickersgill, of Scafell Gardens, Crook, was arrested last month following reports that a girl had been sexually assaulted.
He was charged with two counts of sexual assault and assault by penetration.
The 68-year-old appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court yesterday (August 12) where he pleaded not guilty to the offences.
He was remanded into custody and is next expected to appear at Teesside Crown Court for trial on January 4.
