A restaurant with “eye-catching” presentation and an award-winning Indian have been named as the winners of the latest Teesside Restaurant Week.
Noir D’or and Vadah Indian Restaurant, which are both located on the Riverside in Stockton, were the best performing venues of the most recent initiative, which kicked off on June 29.
James Watson, who runs the week and hospitality business consultancy Over Ice, said it comes as both businesses benefit from the newly opened Stockton Waterfront urban park, which now connects the High Street to the river.
He said the opening of the park and bridge had “brought a welcome boost to local trade” and improved connectivity to both restaurants.

Noir D’or, which is described as an “upscale dining experience” with “bold flavours and eye-catching presentation”, opened above Vadah at the start of last year.
Meanwhile Vadah, which opened in 2014, has remained popular for more than a decade and is known for its “authentic flavours, traditional cooking techniques and carefully crafted dishes.”

Teesside Restaurant Week takes place four times a year and allows diners to enjoy some of Teesside’s best restaurants for less.
A string of popular businesses regularly take part, from Tomahawk Steakhouse venues to the Impeccable Pig in Sedgefield and Il Mulino in Stokesley.
Details regarding the next restaurant week and the venues taking part will be announced in due course.
