Students in Associated Sixth Form in Harrogate achieve 'outstanding success'

The Associated Sixth Form of St Aidan's and St John Fisher in Harrogate said it was delighted to celebrate another year of exceptional Level 3 results.

Students across the sixth form have achieved outstanding success, with a significant number securing a string of straight A and Agrades at A Level, while many vocational learners have achieved the highest possible grades of Distinction and Distinction.

With well over 80% of students achieving at least one grade A* to C the positive value-added score across the Associated Sixth form shows students have performed above national expectations based on their prior attainment.

More than 95% of students achieved three or more A-Level or equivalent qualifications. These results have enabled students to progress to a wide range of prestigious universities, higher-level apprenticeships, and exciting employment opportunities.

The results reflect the strength of the partnership between St Aidan's CE High School and St John Fisher Catholic High School.

The Associated Sixth Form is particularly proud of the breadth of achievement demonstrated this year.

Alongside the highest attaining students, many young people have surpassed their personal targets, overcoming challenges and demonstrating remarkable determination to achieve their ambitions.

Headteacher of St John Fisher Catholic High School, Steve Mort, said: "This is a day of celebration for our entire Associated Sixth Form community.

"We have seen outstanding achievements across both A Level and Vocational qualifications, with many students achieving exceptional grades.

"These achievements are the result of perseverance, ambition and a commitment to excellence.

"We are immensely proud of every student and wish them every success as they move on to university, apprenticeships, training or employment.”
