Harrogate headteacher praises the determination of Year 13 students in A levels

Rossett School’s headteacher has praised the achievement, commitment and determination of Year 13 students as they received their A Level and BTEC results today in Harrogate.

Tim Milburn said the 2026 results reflected the hard work students had shown throughout their courses, supported by staff, parents and carers.

He said: “Results day is always a special moment, and it has been a privilege to see our students celebrate the rewards of their effort, perseverance and ambition.”

Students are now preparing for a wide range of exciting next steps, including university, apprenticeships, further study and employment.

Mr Milburn said: “While the results collected today are important, they are only part of what our students have achieved.

"We are equally proud of the character they have shown throughout their time at Rossett School: their maturity, resilience and commitment to doing their best.

"Whatever their next step, they leave Rossett with our warmest congratulations and with qualities that will support their future success.”

Mr Milburn added: “I would also like to thank our parents and carers for the encouragement they have given our young people, and our staff for the care, expertise and commitment they show every day.

"Most importantly, I want to thank our students for the positive way they have approached their studies and for everything they have contributed to Rossett School. We wish them the very best of luck as they move forward.”
