A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Selby.

A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in North Yorkshire.

The crash involved a black Ford Fiesta, which was travelling from the Selby direction in Flaxley Road, and a silver Honda, which was travelling out of the town at around 12.40pm on Wednesday (August 12).

The rider of the motorcycle is receiving treatment for serious injuries.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The road was closed for a number of hours while we investigated the scene and to allow the vehicles involved to be recovered.

We’re appealing for any witnesses to the collision, anyone who may have seen the vehicles prior to the collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to contact us.
