A Middleton-based poultry producer is celebrating scooping up three industry awards.
Soanes Poultry, based in Middleton on the Wolds, was recognised at the Great Taste Awards for its grain-fed, Red Tractor Assured chicken products.
The company’s whole chicken received a two-star award, while its wings and Yorkshire Christmas Cockerel each earned one star.
Dmitrijus Solovjovas, factory manager at Soanes Poultry, said: "Over the last decade, our chicken has won 25 of these prestigious awards that are dubbed the Oscars of the food industry.
"The ability to rear consistently delicious chickens is a testament to our farmers’ high welfare standards and to the skill of our operations team.
"It’s a real team effort, and I couldn’t be more pleased."
The Great Taste Awards are organised by the Guild of Fine Food and are the largest and most trusted food and drink accreditation scheme.
Soanes Poultry is a family-owned business which employs more than 180 people.
