JÖRO: How to book a Michelin-starred getaway in Sheffield for under £140

Foodies now have the chance to book a Michelin-starred getaway in South Yorkshire for under £140.

Stacey Sherwood-French and Luke French spent eight years establishing JÖRO in a shipping container in Krynkl.

In December 2024, the couple relocated the restaurant to Oughtibridge Mill, a 19th-century site on the outskirts of Sheffield.

The award was record-breaking for Sheffield, becoming its first Michelin-starred restaurant in a decade.

Now visitors have the chance to stay overnight, combining premium dining with boutique accommodation.

The rate is competitive. According to Visit England, outside of London, the average hotel room costs £111 per night.

At JÖRO, midweek Dine & Stay packages cost £137.50 per person, including a tasting menu, continental breakfast, and overnight stay in a studio room.

Booked separately, tasting experiences start at £60 per person.

These rotating menus include dishes like salt-aged Yorkshire beef and chalk stream trout – topped with optional Kaluga caviar.

Previously described by critics as “insanely good,” the dishes draw on Nordic and Japanese influences, but ingredients are sourced from local producers.

Outside of JÖRO, guests can enjoy Sheffield’s foodie culture.

Opened in 2024, Cambridge Street Collective is Europe’s largest purpose-built food hall, while visitors can sip craft beer at taprooms like Heist Brew Co.
