Watch as helicopter tracks 100mph police chase involving stolen car

This video shows the moment police track down a driver who hit speeds of 100mph while being chased by officers.

Officers from South Yorkshire Police attempted to pull over a vehicle which was acting suspiciously in the early hours of August 7.

The driver of the vehicle immediately sped off and a chase began, with the vehicle hitting speeds of 100mph as it tried to escape the grasps of the police.

With officers hot on the tail of the speeding driver, assistance was provided by the National Police Air Service who followed the vehicle to a housing estate in Kendray.

The driver and a passenger tried to flee the scene and hopped several garden fences in a bid to escape, but they were tracked down by police dog PD Pablo and his handler.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, burglary, and dangerous driving.

He has since been charged for driving while disqualified, aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving.
