Police investigating 'unexplained' deaths of two people in West Yorkshire

Police are investigating after the ‘unexplained’ deaths of two people in West Yorkshire earlier this week.

West Yorkshire Police said it was called shortly before 7pm on Tuesday (Aug 11) to a property on New Stead Rise, in Keighley, following reports a 52-year-old woman had been found dead.

A call around 20 minutes later reported a man had been found dead at a business premises on Tong Park Industrial Estate, in Baildon.

There are around eight miles between the locations of where the two bodies were found.

Enquiries are now being carried out by detectives and forensics officers to piece together the surroundings of the two deaths.

Detective Chief Inspector James Entwistle of the Homicide and Major Enquiry team said: “Sadly, we are investigating after the deaths of two people at two locations in Bradford.

“These people are known to each other, and their deaths are being treated as unexplained.

“We are not currently seeking anyone else in connection with their deaths.

“Enquiries remain ongoing into establishing what has happened.”
