Bridlington: Police name man who died after stabbing on Yorkshire coast
A man who died following a stabbing on the Yorkshire coast has been named by police.
Ibrahim Yesildeniz died following an incident on First Avenue in Bridlington at around 5.20am on Monday (Aug 10), Humberside Police said.
The 25-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment to life-threatening injuries but died a short time later, police said.
A statement from Humberside Police said: “Ibrahim’s family are being supported by specially trained officers, and they have asked for privacy at this incredibly difficult time.
Mehmet Gundez, 24-years-old, of Bridlington, who identifies himself as Turkish, has been charged with murder in connection with Ibrahim’s death, and has been remanded into custody to appear at Hull Magistrates Court.”
