A driver who was among three motorists who failed to respond to a court summons has been banned from driving.
The cases against all three went ahead at a specialist motoring court sitting at Harrogate Courthouse .
Nathan Wright, 24, of Foxdale Avenue, Thorpe Willoughby, was convicted in his absence of driving without insurance in Selby and failure to stop when ordered to by a police officer.
He was banned from driving for six months, fined £770 and ordered to pay £130 prosecution costs.
Nathan Firn, 30, of Church Fenton Lane, Ulleskelf, was convicted in his absence of careless driving on Sherburn Industrial Estate.
He was fined £466, ordered to pay £130 prosecution costs and a £186 statutory surcharge and given five penalty points.
Jack James, 28, of High Moor Way, Eastfield, Scarborough, was convicted in his absence of failure to tell police who was driving his vehicle when it was allegedly speeding in a 40mph zone on the A64 east of Malton.
He was fined £660 and ordered to pay £120 prosecution costs and a £264 statutory surcharge and given six penalty points.
