Police who launched an urgent search to find a missing 82-year-old York woman say she’s been found.
The woman was last seen in Heslington at approximately 6am today (Wednesday).
Given today’s climbing temperatures, an urgent search was launched.
At 1.40pm, police issued this update: “Earlier today, we issued an appeal to help locate a woman in her 80s who had been reported missing in the York area.
“We are pleased to report that she was found by officers a short time ago.
“Thankfully, she is safe and well.
“Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal. Your support plays a vital role in helping us locate missing people and bring them to safety as quickly as possible.”
