This bus has broken down in a very awkward spot this lunchtime (Wednesday).
The First York electric service is stuck in the middle of Blossom Street.
It’s come to a halt near the entrance to Micklegate Bar.

Traffic can still get through to Queen Street and Nunnery Lane, but only by merging into one lane.
Passers by have reported taxis managing to manoeuvre around the bus to get through to Micklegate.
York Green Party leader took this photo at about 12.15pm and said it had been stuck there for about ten minutes.
There are no passengers on board and the driver has left his cab.
Andy said there was no sign of police or any cones around the bus, adding it was causing “major concern” for other road users at the junction.
