Aspiring actors from the North East are being invited to apply for roles in an upcoming documentary exploring one of the region's most significant wartime events.
Producers behind The Hartlepools Bombarded are seeking two male actors to take part in a historical dramatisation, recreating scenes from the German bombardment of Hartlepool in 1914.
The documentary will revisit the morning of December 16, 1914, when German warships emerged through the mist off the coast and shelled Hartlepool, leaving dozens of people dead and injured in what became one of the most notable attacks on British soil.
The programme will focus on the tense telephone communications between military positions as news of the approaching ships starts to spread.
The production company is looking for two men with a playing age of between 25 and 35.
