A North East airport has been ranked among the UK's 20 most punctual airports.
More than three-quarters of flights arrive or depart on time, proving it's more reliable than a major northern airport.
New figures from Ski Famille show Teesside International Airport recorded 78 per cent of flights arriving or departing on time during the first quarter of 2026.
That placed Teesside in a seven-way tie for 11th place among the UK's 25 reporting airports, putting it above the national average of 77 per cent.
The figures will be welcome news for families heading away this summer, with flight delays often affecting transfers, accommodation check-ins and onward travel plans.
Teesside Airport recently announced the return of a third daily flight to Amsterdam Schiphol, giving North East passengers even greater access to international onward connections.

The regulator, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), considers a flight to be punctual if it reaches or leaves the airport gate within 15 minutes of its scheduled time.
Another North East hub shone in the rankings, with Newcastle Airport sharing first place with Liverpool John Lennon Airport - both recording 82 per cent of flights on time.
Meanwhile, Manchester Airport finished bottom of the table with just 68 per cent of flights arriving or departing on schedule.
Alex Dyer, managing director of Ski Famille, said punctuality figures can be useful for families planning trips but should not be viewed as a guarantee for individual journeys.

Dyer said: "When children, baggage and a pre-booked transfer are involved, even a modest delay can squeeze the rest of the day.
"Families should keep transfer contacts and booking details close, allow a sensible margin where they control the timetable and alert their provider early if arrival plans change."
He added: "Airport-wide figures are useful context, but they are not a forecast for one particular flight. Travellers should still check their airline, route and live updates before setting off."
The figures do not necessarily reflect factors within an airport's control, with weather, air traffic control disruption, technical problems and late-running aircraft all capable of affecting punctuality.
However, Teesside's place in the UK's top 20 airports for punctuality suggests North East travellers are flying from one of the country's more reliable regional hubs.
