A County Durham pub is getting a taste of Clarkson’s Farm as part of a makeover behind the bar.
The Surtees, located on South Street, Crook, has revealed that “more changes are afoot”, with a transformation of the bar and cellar planned in the coming weeks.
The pub, which has been open for 12 years, says customers can expect all-new beer fonts, a cellar upgrade, and a few new additions – including one from the "legend himself".
A new beer coming from Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm, Hawkstone, is making its way onto the bar - and will be on draft.
Hawkstone has grown considerably since launching in 2021, becoming an increasingly recognisable beer brand alongside the success of the Amazon Prime series.

Clarkson has built Diddly Squat into a sizeable business since taking on the farm and Hawkstone has become one of its most successful ventures.
The announcement has already caught the attention of locals on Facebook, with one commenting: “Probably one of the best lagers out there at the moment [Hawkstone].”
"I like it," added another.
That could set the bar rather high ahead of the first pint being poured, with the date for the pub’s new addition yet to be confirmed.
The Surtees has become renowned over the years for its lively atmosphere.
Dogs are allowed in, plus customers love using the pool table inside or enjoying bingo game nights and watching football.
Customers were recently impressed as ceiling fans were installed in the pub to keep them cool in the warm summer heat.
