Fire crews called to shopping park after two people trapped inside after midnight

Firefighters were called to a York shopping park after two people became accidentally trapped.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews from York were called to Kathryn Avenue in Huntington just after midnight (Wednesday, August 12).

The road provides access to Vangarde Shopping Park and the LNER stadium.

The service did not say in which premises the two were trapped.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two people were unable to exit the enclosed grounds of a commercial property.

"Crews located the people who were both uninjured."
