A County Durham man has been banned from driving for six months after pleading guilty to driving while disqualified.
Terry Morris, 42, of Adamson Street, Shildon, appeared at Peterlee Magistrates’ Court on August 7.
He admitted driving a Ford Transit van on the A68 at Fir Tree without a valid licence on April 30.
The court heard the vehicle also did not have third-party insurance at the time.
Morris was fined £200 for driving while disqualified.

He must also pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and an additional surcharge of £80.
The court ordered that the sum be paid in full within 14 days through deductions from his benefits.
His driving record was endorsed, but no separate penalty or points were imposed for the insurance offence.
Morris's guilty pleas were taken into account when sentencing.
