FARMERS joined firefighters in tackling a blaze in a field outside an East Yorkshire town yesterday (Tuesday, August 11).
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to Grindale Lane in Bridlington around 5.45pm.
A service spokesperson said there were two fires located when crews arrived and the blaze measured 100 square metres.
The spokesperson added: "Two hose reel jets and four beaters were used.
"Farm machinery was used to create a fire break."
