Hundreds of new adult learning courses are now available across York and North Yorkshire.
The courses are designed to boost career prospects and support key growth sectors in the region.
Backed by the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, the training programmes are tailored to meet employer needs and are available in-person, online, and at various times to suit learners’ schedules.
David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, said: "We need to give people the tools they need to progress in their careers and reach their full potential.
"Whether you want to gain confidence in everyday skills like maths, step up into a senior role, or change direction entirely, these courses are designed around you."
Courses are available through the Adult Skills Fund, Free Courses for Jobs, and Skills Bootcamps, and are delivered by providers commissioned by the Combined Authority.
Natalie Johnson, a learner from Skipton, said: "I never enjoyed maths at school and then something inside of me wanted to try and give it a go.
"I’ve got a fantastic tutor, and I’ve come on in leaps and bounds."
Courses are available from entry level up to level four or five, and may be fully or part-funded depending on eligibility.
