A sports massage therapist is taking on a 177-mile walking challenge to raise funds for Dogs Trust.
Emma Landrie, from Easingwold, will begin her seven-day walk on Tuesday, September 22, travelling between three Dogs Trust centres in Leeds, Manchester, and Darlington.
Ms Landrie said: "I’ve always been a huge dog lover and have had dogs throughout my life, so Dogs Trust is a charity that means a lot to me."
"I wanted to do something that was going to be a genuine challenge for me while raising money for something I care about.
"I believe every dog deserves a warm and safe place to live, enough food, toys to play with, a comfortable bed of their own, and, most importantly, love and care.
"No dog should have to go without these basic things."
She hopes the walk will raise vital funds to support the charity’s work rescuing, caring for, and rehoming dogs.
Along the route, Emma will complete a series of extra challenges to boost fundraising and keep supporters engaged.
She will also document her journey on social media over the course of the week.
Emma is seeking sponsorship from local businesses, offering to display their logos on her T-shirt throughout the challenge.
