A couple from Selby have become members of the prestigious British Country Music Hall of Fame.
Susan and Nigel Green have been recognised for their significant contributions to country music.
Nigel, who began as a DJ in the 1970s, was initially involved in the Blazing Saddles Country Club in North Yorkshire, where Susan encouraged him to help out.
Their involvement expanded into a 22-year journey, during which they launched their own country music club and began organising weekend events in 2005.
In 2006, they formed Samanddance Limited, followed by the first Towerfest in 2007.
Towerfest, now preparing for its 19th event, has grown from a one-day gathering into a four-day festival.
The couple's monthly country music club at Drax has also been running for more than 20 years, hosting numerous events.
Nigel and Susan have also been active in fundraising, supporting various charitable causes.
Their efforts include a 24-hour line dance marathon that raised more than £12,000 for the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust.
They also raised £1,300 for Donna's Dream House in Blackpool and more than £2,000 to help fund surgery for a young girl.
This year alone, they have raised more than £1,100 for the Air Ambulance.
Their company, Old Station CMF Ltd, organises the popular Mule Train and Old Station Festivals.
Nigel and Susan have booked more than 1,500 artists from across the UK, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.
The pair are now the joint 65th member of the British Country Music Hall of Fame.
