Harehills, Leeds: 79-year-old pedestrian hospitalised with life-threatening injuries after crash
West Yorkshire Police have shared details of a crash in Leeds
At around 9am today (August 11), there was a crash involving a Toyota Auris car and a pedestrian on Bellbrooke Avenue in Harehills.
The 79-year-old man, a pedestrian, is now in hospital receiving treatment for his serious injuries.
The driver of the Toyota Auris, a 59-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “Police are appealing for information following a serious injury collision in Leeds. It happened at about 9am today (Tuesday) in Bellbrooke Avenue, Harehills and involved a Toyota Auris car and a pedestrian.
“The pedestrian, a 79-year-old man, was taken to hospital with injuries which are said to be life-threatening.
“The driver, a 59-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
