Across the county, seasonal flower fields are inviting visitors to pick their own bouquets.
From snapdragons in Guisborough to sunflowers near Thirsk, these are the best places to pick your own flowers in Yorkshire.

Spilmans
Based in Sessay, near Thirsk, Spilmans is a family-run farm with a PYO sunflower field of 20,000 blooms. Flower pickers can book entrance online, purchasing sunflowers on arrival for £1.50 per stem, or £5 for a bunch of four.
Barkston Flower Farm
Located in the village of Barkston Ash, Barkston Flower Farm offers PYO wildflower sessions for £20. Flowers are a medley bunch, from dainty feverfew to bold-coloured snapdragons. A bucket of handpicked flowers is included with each ticket.
Rowes at Priory Gardens
Gisborough Priory is a beautiful backdrop for picking your own flowers. Located in Guisborough, Rowes at Priory Gardens has operated as a market garden since 1962. For £15 per person, across set dates in August, the farm allows visitors to handpick a bucket of flowers, including snapdragons.
Mallard Grange Farm
Mallard Grange Farm is a working farm near Ripon. Its Flower Field opened on July 4 and will welcome visitors until September. With no bookings required, this PYO experience is good for flexible visits. There are 33 flower varieties, including sunflowers at £1 per stem.
The Flower Belt
This family business operates across two sites: Helmsley and Harrogate. There are 28 types of tulips and 21 wildflower varieties, which bloom at different times of year. Entrance is free, and prices start at £7 for a jar of handpicked flowers.
Kemps Farm
The Kemps actually run farms in two locations: Horsforth and Barton-le-Street. Barton-le-Street is the smaller of the two, although both offer PYO sunflowers. At Horsforth, entrance costs under £5, including a tractor ride, bunch of wildflowers, and three sunflowers.
Haxby Flower Meadow
On the outskirts of York, Haxby Flower Meadow launched in 2025. Its meadows have whimsical paths through knee-height wildflowers, and prices start at £7 for a handpicked vase of flowers.
The Hidden Flowering Farm
