Two York sports teams are proudly sporting new kits this season thanks to fresh sponsorship support.
Ben Johnson Cricket Club and Haxby Town Under-7s have both received kit sponsorship from Ben Johnson Interiors, a York-based interiors firm with historical ties to the cricket team.
Ben Johnson Cricket Club, named after the company, now features the sponsor’s logo on their cricket whites.
Haxby Town Under-7s will begin wearing their new kit during the 2026/27 football season.
Matthew Day, director at Ben Johnson Interiors, said: "As a successful York-based business, we're proud to be able to support these two teams and give back to the communities where we operate.
"It's also particularly exciting because we have so much shared heritage with Ben Johnson Cricket Club."
The cricket club was founded in 1957 by employees of Ben Johnson and remains one of the last active works teams in the area.
Paul Morrison, team captain at Ben Johnson Cricket Club, said: "This partnership feels like a homecoming.
"To be supported by a company that shares not just a name but a deep-rooted connection with our origins means a lot."
Ben Johnson Interiors has reported more than £7 million in revenue between March and December 2025.
