A64 crash: Appeal after crash involving HGV and unmarked police car in Yorkshire

Police are appealing for information following a crash involving a HGV and an unmarked police car in Yorkshire.

North Yorkshire Police said the incident happened on the A64 at Barton Hill at around 12.14pm on Friday (Aug 7).

A statement from the force said: “Two police officers travelling in an unmarked Peugeot 308 responding to an operational matter in the course of their duties sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment. The driver of the HGV was uninjured.

“Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has relevant dashcam footage from the area at the time, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote reference 12260152304.

“A section of the A64 was closed while emergency services attended the scene and carried out recovery work.”
