A murder investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed on a Bridlington street this morning.
Police were called to the incident outside a property on First Avenue in Bridlington at around 5.20am today (Monday).
The victim was taken to hospital but later died of his wounds.

Humberside Police have since been conducting extensive house to house and CCTV enquiries, as well as obtaining witness statements to determine the full details of what happened.
There are scene guard in place on Flamborough Road, First Avenue,and Alexandra Promenade as our Crime Scene Investigations continue their enquiries.
Detective Chief Inspector Leanne Murphy of Humberside Police said: “Whilst we are in the very early stages of our investigation, from our enquiries so far, we have established that an altercation is believed to have occurred between the two men, who are thought to be associated to one another, leading to one of the men being taken to hospital for treatment to life threatening injuries.
“Despite the efforts of medical professionals, the man has since died in hospital, and enquiries remain ongoing to formally identify him, and therefore identify and locate his next of kin. We would ask people to please refrain from speculating around the circumstances surrounding the incident at this time.
“A 24-year-old man was detained nearby shortly after we received the report and has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in hospital after also sustaining minor injuries as a result of the altercation.
“A knife has also since been recovered as part of our enquiries so far.
“I would like to thank members of the public who have already greatly assisted us in our enquiries and prompt arrest of a man in connection with the incident, and the local community can expect to continue to see an increased police presence in the area.”
