Police have said officers are “becoming increasingly concerned” for the safety of a missing 15-year-old girl from a village near York.
Sophia was last seen at her home in Huby at around 4.30pm on Friday (August 7).
North Yorkshire Police is urging people to phone 999 if they see Sophia, saying: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety.”
The force said Sophia is described as around 4ft 6in tall, of slim build with black hair and may be wearing long hair extensions. She also has a tattoo of a turtle on her left arm.
She was last seen wearing blue jeans and an animal print halter-neck top.
“If you have seen Sophia or know where she is now, please call 999,” a police spokesperson said.
“If you have any other information that could help us find her please call us on 101 and select option 1 to speak to our control room.
“Please quote 12260115337 when sharing information.”
