A housebuilder has donated £1,500 to support marine animal rescue efforts.
Barratt and David Wilson Homes contributed the funds to British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) as part of The Barratt Redrow Foundation.
The donation will help fund a new whale rescue pontoon in Yorkshire.
Emily Mayman, Rescue Coordinator for Head Office at British Divers Marine Life Rescue, said: "We were absolutely delighted when Barratt and David Wilson Homes got in touch as we’d been keen to work together for a long time.
"Its generous £1,500 donation will help fund a new whale rescue pontoon in Yorkshire, and we’re incredibly grateful for its support."
BDMLR operates a 24/7 rescue hotline and has over 3,000 trained Marine Mammal Medics.
Daniel Smith, Managing Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Yorkshire East, said: “Our Community Fund scheme plays a vital role in supporting charities like British Divers Marine Life Rescue, whose essential work makes a real difference to animals across the UK."
